Precision Upper Swash Plate & Servo Geometry
The Nimbus 550 V2 Nitro features a redesigned upper swash plate and longer outer swash balls to eliminate unequal cyclic and collective differential. This refinement balances servo geometry and maintains the control ratios established in XLPower’s electric Nimbus series. Coupled with a 120° cyclic servo layout, the helicopter delivers consistent control feel and predictable response throughout the collective range, enhancing precision during advanced maneuvers.
Pre-Balanced Tapered Clutch System
Borrowing technology from the Nitro 700 platform, the V2’s tapered clutch system provides smoother engagement and easier clutch stack alignment. Pre-balanced in the factory, it reduces vibration across all RPM ranges, extends bearing life, and ensures smoother spool-up. The re-engineered start coupling prevents clutch loosening during operation, giving pilots confidence in consistent power delivery.
Rigid Airframe & Easy Maintenance
Built around a one-piece 7075 aluminum bearing block and servo mount, the airframe provides exceptional rigidity and stability during aggressive flight.
